For visitors interested in beach combing, there are more than 22 miles of beach covered with interesting sea shells, drift wood, and sand dunes. The Matagorda area is recognized as one of the best areas on the Texas coast for fishing, hunting, and birdwatching. Great home for enjoying all the nature in the Matagorda area. Rawlings Bait Camp and their boat ramp is just down the highway a short distance as well is access to East Matagorda Bay. You will enjoy our lighted fishing pier....there is plenty of room to dock your boat while not out fishing or you can fish or set crab traps right out your back door! The spacious deck on the West side of the house overlooks the river and offers a great view of West Matagorda Bay. |
